Students in Lutnick Library
Haverford College has many different subjects to study through the courses it offers as well as those at Bryn Mawr, Swarthmore and the University of Pennsylvania. You can start by looking at Haverford's individual academic department and program pages.
The Libraries have many resources in which you can find recent scholarship on issues that you want to know more about. This guide lays out ways you can explore individual fields of study in the humanities, natural sciences and social sciences as well as multidisciplinary programs in environmental and health studies. It also highlights tools and strategies that work for researching course papers and projects in general.
Subject librarians work with students and faculty in every department and program. They provide one-on-one support of students throughout their college careers. Feel free to drop in or email them when you have a question. You can get help starting to develop a research question or beginning a search. To arrange a meeting, email the librarian who works with the department related to your topic. See this listing for librarians by subject area and these guides for research.
