Student Library Guide (BMC)

This is a short guide to help new students learn about the libraries and their resources.

About the Libraries

There are three libraries on campus:

  • Canaday Library is the College's main humanities and social sciences library
  • Carpenter Library collections support the College's programs in History of Art; Classical and Near East Archaeology; Greek, Latin, Classical Studies; and Growth and Structure of Cities
  • Collier Science Library is located on the third floor of the Park Science Center, which is the core academic and research community for mathematics and the sciences at Bryn Mawr College

Throughout all three libraries there are group study spaces, quiet zones, computers and printing, brain break activities, and of course plenty of resources to ensure your academic success. Additionally, students may also access TriCo resources at Haverford and Swarthmore Colleges.

This guide is designed to provide an introduction to the services and resources at BMC Libraries, but patrons are encouraged to stop by the library service desks for more information. Our student library staff are available to answer any questions you may have about using the library or even questions about campus in general.

Need more in-depth help or have questions about a research project or assignment? Make an appointment with a subject librarian.
