RARa was a literary magazine focused on Black writing and art that published poetry, articles, essays, book reviews, photography, children’s plays, short stories, and more. The magazine includes contributions from Bi-College students, alumni, and faculty, as well as written work by famous activists such as W.E.B. Du Bois and members of the Black Panther Party. The text and artwork of both editions explore themes of racism, Blackness, identity, and activism.
