Tripod Catalog: A How-To Guide (BMC)

Results Display

In the search results display for a Books + Media search, you will see results for books, e-books, and other media:

  • Records that read Available Online will contain a link to the digital content.
  • Records displaying a call number (e.g. BL2525 .H665 2008) are available in print in the libraries.
  • If the book is available online and in print, you may sometimes see a single record containing both the link to the digital content and the call number.

Requesting Unavailable Items

You may come across an item you need that displays a "Not Available" status:

This usually means the book is checked out to another patron, but if you're signed into Tripod, you can still:

  1. Request a recall, and the patron who has it will have 5 days to return it
  2. Request it through E-ZBorrow, which takes 3-5 business days
  3. Request it through Interlibrary Loan if not available through the above methods
