Published in New York, these scenes from Japan were meant to be viewed through a scope which would allow the viewer to see them in 3-D.

Twenty-one photographs (14 of Nagasaki and 7 of Hiroshima) that were presumably taken by the U.S. Army Signal Corps in August and September 1945.

Frank Brinkley lived in Japan for forty years as a British military attaché, foreign adviser to the Japanese government, and newspaper owner. These books describe all aspects of Japanese culture and society from religion to games to dress. Includes many illustrations and photographs.
