Citation Alert Tip

A citation alert notifies you by email whenever a citation you choose has been cited by a new publication. You can use this service to track new literature related to a particular publication or to track when an author cites your publications in his/her work.

Web of Science

To set up a new alert:

1.   Launch Web of Science from Tripod or Databases A-Z.

2.  By default, you are searching Web of Science Core Collection.

3.   Search for your topic.

4..   Click on the title in the search results screen to view the full record.

5.   Click  on the right side of the screen.

6.   Sign into your Web of Science account (or create a new one if you haven't already).

7.   Choose your preferred email format.

8.   Click Create Alert.

9.  Web of Science alerts are good for up to 1 year, after which they must be renewed.
