Never pay for an article!
When searching a database (i.e. there's a "find it" button)
- Click on the icon. If we do not have access to the article, choose the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) option.
- The ILL form will be populated for you; just click 'Submit'.
- You will usually receive the article by email in a couple of business days.
Outside a database search (i.e. no "find it" button)
- Go to tripod.haverford.edu.
- Sign into your account; this is very important!
- Copy the title of the article into the Tripod search box and click to only search 'Articles'.
- On the left-hand side of the results screen, click 'Expand my results'.
- When the correct article title appears, click the link; under 'How to Get It', click 'Interlibrary Loan'.
- The ILL form will be populated for you; now just click 'Submit'.
- You will usually receive the article by email in a couple of business days.

In the absence of a Find it button or an interlibrary loan link, you can fill out and submit the interlibrary loan form manually.
But wait...that's not all! If you're really in a bind, you can also:
- Try emailing the author and asking for a copy of the article.
- Try googling the title to see if there is a link to the full text.
