Knightlab Tools

The Knight Lab at Northwestern University develops digital storytelling tools designed primarily for journalists.These tools are also helpful for digital scholarship projects. You may consider using one or more of the following tools from the Knight Lab for your projects:

StoryMap JS
StoryMap JS is a simple tool that enables you to tell a story through maps. You can embed additional media and text within each map location, creating a multimedia experience for your users that situates people, events, and ideas in time and place.
Juxtapose
Juxtapose enables an interactive comparison of two images by creating a viewer with a slider over one image that either reveals or hides a second image. It is very effective for before/after comparisons.
