General research advice

1. Start with review articles like those found in Annual Reviews and Oxford Bibliographies (on the Background Reading tab), which can help you get a sense of the state of knowledge on your topic and point you to seminal books and articles on your topic.

2. The library subscribes to subject-specific databases that will restrict your search to only political science, or other social science sources.  See the Article Databases tab for links to these.

3. Exploit good bibliographies.  See more in the box at the top of the Article Databases page.

4. Make a research appointment with the Political Science Librarian for one-on-one help.
