You are welcome to use any Swarthmore library, regardless of what you're studying.

There are three main libraries:

question mark icon Swarthmore librarians are happy to talk with you about your research and to help answer your questions, large or small. If you're not sure whether a librarian is the right person to talk to, just ask, and we'll help you sort it out.

magnifying glass icon To find books, articles, films, comics, and more, search our online catalog, use Tripod (tutorials on how to use Tripod offered here).

shopping cart iconTo have a book delivered to you from Haverford or Bryn Mawr:

1. Visit Tripod and click on the upper right corner to log into your account.

2. Log into your Tripod account using your Swarthmore email address and password.

3. Search for and find the book in Tripod after you are logged in. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Request link next to its availability.

4. Choose the Swarthmore library where you'd like to pick up the book and submit the request. You'll get an email within a day letting you know the book is ready.

The libraries are also popular locations to relax and socialize. The handout below has some information on some less scholarly library resources you might want to take advantage of!

You can find more postcards like this one at the Research and Information Desk at McCabe.
