PHYS 003: General Physics I (SC)

An interdisciplinary database which has much full-text coverage. Always a good place to start your research. Covers 1971 - present.

Provides full-text and page images from many of the top journals in most academic disciplines. A good database for finding HISTORICAL information.

Scitation indexes articles from 120 scholarly journals on topics in physics and engineering. Topics include optics, mathematics, civil engineering, semiconductors, education, nuclear physics and more. This collection includes PHYSICS TODAY which is a great source of articles for Physics 4!

Use the "Check Tripod" and "Find it @ Swarthmore" links to see if we have access to full text. GS also often provides full-text access to articles in journals to which we don't actually subscribe - so get in the habit of copying & pasting title articles in to GS (use "QUOTES" so GS treats the title as a phrase!) - check "All x versions" - there will often be access to full-text via one of these versions. If you try this trick in GOOGLE, be sure to add 'PDF' to you search!

This searches Scientific American back to its first volume (1845). Note: This will search journals in addition to Scientific American, including the journal NATURE.
