Focusing mainly on original primary materials found in Special Collections, this guide provides access to a variety of different materials about Haverford College history.
Photographs covering a wide range of the history of Haverford College are available in Special Collections. Some photographs have been digitized and are available in our digital repository. Photographs show student life, athletics, classes, faculty, and events.
Videos, DVDS, and Audio Tapes
Audio-visual materials in the archives includes recordings made by Haverford musical groups, recordings of various speakers, performances, and events which took place on campus, as well as various interviews. Materials are in a variety of formats depending on age. A few of these recordings are also available digitally.
Other Graphic Materials
In addition to photographs, Special Collections also has art images (usually prints of some sort) and blueprints related to a number of campus buildings. These are often quite large; some of the images may also be in color.
Historical interviews with important figures provide another view of Haverford history. Some oral histories are available in our digital repository, while others will be digitized and made available in the near future.
