AfrobarometerAn independent, nonpartisan research project measuring the social, political and economic atmosphere in Africa. Afrobarometer surveys are conducted in more than a dozen African countries and are repeated on a regular cycle. Because the instrument asks a standard set of questions, countries can be systematically compared. Currently, data is available from Round 1 (1999-2001, 12 countries), Round 2 (2002-2004, 16 countries) and Round 3 (2005-2006, 18 countries). Round 4 is in the planning stages.
