The culminating experience in the economics major is the year-long senior thesis, where students conduct original and independent research under the guidance of a faculty advisor.
The TIER Documentation Protocol provides instructions for organizing data, statistical code, and associated files in such a way that an empirical research project can be reproduced easily and exactly. The Protocol is embodied in this template on the Center for Open Science's OSF platform that you can use to manage your thesis files throughout the year.
