Search the online collection of artifacts and art in the collection at the MET. Entries may include images and descriptions of the objects.
University of Pennsylvania Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology Collection
Search online for artifacts from anicent cultures in the collection at the Penn Museum. Many entries have images and descriptions of objects.
Catalog of the Oriental Institute Library, University of Chicago
For the library, choose Search Research Archives. Searchable index to the books and journals in the OI Library, including titles of journal articles and chapters in collected studies. Since 1990. No connection to Tripod, so you'll have to search for journal titles or book titles in Tripod.
British Museum Collection Online
Use the Advanced Search to specify topic, time period and other parameters.
HEIR (Historic Environment Image Resource)
An image database of archaeological sites and monuments in Britain, Europe, the Near East, and North Africa. Images are from slides, negatives, and photographs taken in the 1870s to the early 21st century.
