Introduction

Many of the resources we use, including academic journals and databases, often present research done primarily by scholars in the United States and Europe.  A further concern is that marginalized groups in the United States frequently do not have opportunities to research and publish within academic institutions.  Use the resources in this section to find material which may argue for different priorities and explanations.  Articles anchored in fieldwork with local communities and histories will offer perspectives that will enrich your understanding.
