What is the summer reading list?

This Swarthmore tradition was started by science librarian Meg Spencer (1959-2015) in 2009. The Libraries continue this tradition in memory of our dear friend, and invite all staff, faculty, and students to participate.

How do I contribute?

We’re asking for:

  • One book you read in the past year that you would recommend to others, with a sentence or two about why you liked it
  • One book you plan to read this summer, no review or comments required. Who knows—maybe it will end up being your recommendation for next year!
