Introduction

This guide focuses on the topics in your course and outlines research strategies and resources for finding out more about Homer's works and ancient Greek culture.  Use the searches and linked examples as jumping off points for exploration.

The Background page will help in answering questions you might have and understanding the broader contexts in which the Iliad and Odyssey were recited and read.  The Translations and Editions page highlight texts that are available for browsing and study.  Criticism will give you ways to access scholars analyzing Homeric poems.  Topical Resources gathers key resources in different disciplines for a greater understanding of ancient Greek culture.
