PolicyMap
Easily access and create maps from data about demographics, housing, health, community resources, and other topics. US focus.
Statista: The Leading Statistics Portal
Find statistics related to a wide range of topics. Provides charts and data you can download. Pay attention to the actual data sources, which include governments, market research, surveys, and more. Global scope.
Roper Center Public Opinion Archives (iPOLL)
Find results from US national public opinion surveys (1935-present). Includes public opinion research from 120+ countries. Use this database to find polls from Gallup, Pew, and more.
Eikon / Workspace
Financial data resource, similar to a Bloomberg terminal. Use to find company fundamentals, stock prices, investment news, mergers and acquisitions. Includes some private company information and research reports by LSEG. Access instructions for Swarthmore users.

Historical Data & Statistics

Social Explorer
Compare places in the US over time on demographics, employment, housing, and other topics. Data covers 1790-present. Easily create maps visualizing data from the US Census, American Community Survey, and other datasets.
Historical Statistics of the United States
Contains more than 37,000 annual time series of quantitative historical information covering population, work and welfare, economic structure and performance, governance, and international relations. Covers the colonial period to the present.

International Historical Statistics
Book series with extensive historical statistics from around the world, including Africa, Asia, and Oceania, 1750-2000, The Americas, 1750-2000, and Europe, 1750-2000.

ICPSR (Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research) Data Archive
ICPSR is one of the largest and most well-respected repositories of social science research data. Swarthmore is a member of ICPSR, which means that students, faculty, and staff can download members-only datasets.
