Introduction

There are many helpful readers and guides to theoretical perspectives on religion. Depending on a scholar's field of study, they will hold very different perspectives about religion and religious movements. Historians, anthropologists, sociologists, philosophers, and other specialists may disagree on what are the defining factors of "religion." Below are a few examples of readers and guides that might provide you with some ideas for further research.
