Preserving Your Reseach Data (Programming Historian)
You do not need to be a programmer, historian, or user of quantitative data in order to benefit from this blog post! It's relevant to anyone who does research and would like to be able to look at that research weeks, months, or years later (even if technology has changed).

To accomplish the goal of creating a research project that one can easily revisit, this post explains how to create useful file-names, which file formats (like .CSV and .TXT) won't be obsolete next year, and how to effectively set up folders and URLs.
