Use quotation marks to get more exact results:

Search any one of multiple terms (as opposed to searching all terms, which is the default):

• "spanish civil war" | "Guerra Civil Española" [Google Images]

Limit your search to words in the title:

• allintitle:spain AND quakers | "society of friends"

Remove unwanted results:

• "spanish civil war" quakers -amazon -academia.edu

Limit your search by domain:

• Limited to institutions of higher education in the United States:

• "Friends Service Committee" "Spanish Civil War" site:.edu

• Limited to institutions of higher education in the United Kingdom:

• Quaker Relief "Spanish Civil War" site:.ac.uk

• Limited to websites in Spain:

• "Guerra Civil Española" site:.es (compare with just "Guerra Civil Española")

• Limited to websites sponsored by the European Union:

• "Spanish Civil War" site:.eu

• Limited to non-profit organizations:

• "Spanish Civil War" site:.org

Limit by date:
