Study Abroad: Library Resources (HC)

While abroad, feel free to continue to rely on your respective Subject Librarians for research assistance.

In addition to offering general and subject-specific research help, subject librarians can also write letters of introduction if you need access to one of the many libraries, archives, and special collections outside the United States with restricted access.

While abroad, you may continue to request articles and book chapters not in Tripod through Article Delivery.  In most cases, PDF scans of the articles will be emailed to you within 1–10 days.

(Scans of articles and book chapters can be emailed directly to your Haverford email account.  Requests for books, films, and other print material should be made through your local institution while abroad.)

You can get access to the Haverford Libraries' online resources, including online journals, databases/indices, and e-books by first logging into E-ZProxy with your regular email username and password. 

Once you have logged in, the URL of the page you're on will contain "ezproxy.haverford.edu" (e.g., "http://tripod.brynmawr.edu.ezproxy.haverford.edu").

If you no longer see "ezproxy.haverford.edu" in the URL, then add https://ezproxy.haverford.edu/login?url= to the beginning of the resource's URL to reinitiate your EZProxy session. Because EZProxy works by dynamically re-writing URLs, ensure that you navigate by clicking on links within a page, not by typing URLs into the address bar.
