The Global Terrorism Database (GTD) is an open-source database including information on terrorist events around the world from 1970 through 2017 (with updates planned for the future). Unlike many other event databases, the GTD includes systematic data on domestic as well as international terrorist incidents.

Provides terrorist statements in English translation with an indexing system which gives access to ideological concepts and the contexts in which they are used. Also offers detailed lists of research sites.

The ICRG (International Country Risk Guide) Researcher's Dataset from the PRS Group comprises 22 variables in three subcategories of risk (political, financial, and economic), for 146 countries, over the period 1984 to the previous year. Data are annual averages of components published in the International Country Risk Guide.

Provides statistical and narrative information for Middle Eastern countries with regard to war, conflict, on-sided violence, conflict prevention, and peace agreements.

Governance indicators for 213 countries cover six areas: Voice and accountability, Political Stability and Absence of Violence, Government effectiveness, Regulatory quality, Rule of law, and Control of corruption.
