WRPR 119 Brown v. Board at 70: Unfulfilled Promises & Unfinished Activisms for Education Equity

What are Databases?

Databases like the ones contained in this guide (Accessible Archives, Gale, etc), act as platforms housing a large number of subcollections. Given the embedded nature of subcollections within databases and their volume, not all of them appear directly in the  A-Z  database list or in Tripod, so this guide is designed to provide a description of the collections users will find when searching these databases.

Think of each database as a mall and this guide as a mall directory. Instead of a list of shops, we are detailing specific collections you would find within each database and our directory is organized by time period and topic. The guide gives you directions for where to go to search for primary sources related to your focus.
