History majors in the Lutnick book stacks (Source: Anhara Disko)
Browse the print books at Lutnick Library. Most of them are on Level 0 on movable shelves. You will find art, photography and reference books on Level 2. The titles are organized by subject using a numbering system from the Library of Congress. The Tripod catalog provides the location and unique call number for each print book. For ebooks, you will find the full text links in the Tripod catalog records.
Find topics which interest you in this listing of Library of Congress subjects. You will then have the call numbers to go exploring for books about Japanese history (DS833-891.5) or modern American writers (PS3600-3626).
Use the Tripod catalog for your home institution
to look for all books (print and digital) owned by your college as well as the print titles at the other two schools.
The following searches are a sampling of possibilities. To find material on a topic, try doing a keyword search in the Tripod Catalog and then use the subject headings assigned to those titles to find more books. Note that all these searches are in the Books+Media channel. In examples #3 and 4 below, using keywords in Any Field (rather than subjects) will pick up results from chapter titles.
