Using TimelineJS and TimeMapper

TimelineJS

If no data is displayed / only an animated loading icon appears:

Try modifying the spreadsheet's shared URL as follows.

-Remove the last part of the url which reads "&usp-sharing"
-Add the following to the url: "#gid=0"

Example of a correctly formatted URL:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiSimP5ApP1xdF9ZV0JDdHpsMDFDOTREak5KQVFVckE#gid=0

Using Flickr: To add an image from Flickr to your Timeline/TimeMapper, be careful about link formatting.

Use this kind of Flickr link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jmcphotos/1361545671/

These kinds of Flickr links will cause a PagePeeker animation to display instead of your image:
http://flic.kr/p/35jh6n
http://farm2.staticflickr.com/1286/1361545671_999ebd940d_b.jpg
http://www.flickr.com/photos/jmcphotos/1361545671/sizes/l/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/jmcphotos/1361545671/lightbox/

Using Google Maps: Include the full Google Maps URL. The shortened URL (i.e., http://goo.gl/maps/iT0zF) will cause a PagePeeker animation to display instead of your map.

TimeMapper

Including geographic data: Be careful to format your latitude and longitude correctly (you can get this information from DBSGeo) and to enter them in the correct order as specified on the spreadsheet.

Including a link to a website: When adding a link to your TimeMapper project, make sure to remove the hyperlink created by default in the spreadsheet, as this causes the loading icon to appear instead of the appropriate website’s thumbnail.
