Getting Started

All library resources can be accessed from our webpage.

Tripod is the library catalog of Bryn Mawr, Haverford and Swarthmore Colleges. You can request materials from the other two colleges and have them delivered here.

The Research Guides can help you locate journal articles and other scholarly resources.

The Libraries

Canaday Library

Canaday is the College's main humanities and social sciences library. It houses the Help Desk, Special Collections, the College Archives, the Writing Center, the Lusty Cup cafe, the Quita's Corner and DoubleStar fun reading sections and 24 hour computing labs. Canaday has study carrels that may be reserved.

Carpenter Library

Located on the west side of College Hall, Carpenter is the Art, Archeology, Cities and Classics library. Carpenter houses the Digital Media and Collaboration Lab, reading rooms, and a computer lab. GSAS graduate students and undergraduate seniors majoring in Classics, Cities, Archaeology or History of Art may reserve study carrels for the year. For Carpenter carrel requests, contact Laura Surtees.

Collier Science Library

Located on the third floor of Park Science Building, Collier contains scholarly books and journals as well as maps, videos, and popular science books, along with a computer lab and individual carrels and private study rooms.
