When searching a database to find an article:
- Click on the
icon to access full text articles. If we have access to it, the article will automatically open. If we do not have access, simply choose the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) option.
- An interlibrary loan form will appear on the next screen, with all the bibliographic details already filled in. You provide your name and enter the barcode that is on the front of you ID (OneCard) and submit.
- The article will be delivered as a PDF directly to your email usually within 48 hours during the work week.
When following a cited reference that is in print or not linked by a Find It button:
- Find out if we have access to the journal title that contains the article of interest. To do so, go to Tripod (HC) or Tripod (BMC) or Tripod (SC), use the Books & More tab, and put in the journal title. Use the dropdown menu to select the field "Journal title" in which to launch your search.
- If we have access to the journal, Tripod will show them. Often it has a print, and an online version. Older articles may only be available in print.
- If we do not have access, go to the Article Interlibrary Loan form.
- Fill in the information for each field and submit.
- The article will be delivered as a PDF directly to your email usually within 48 hours during the work week.
