A Few Tips on Writing
- Use a concept map to pick one aspect of a topic. This forms your research question or thesis. Then, only include information in your paper that ties back to your thesis. This ensures that your paper doesn't veer off topic or become too long.
- Tag and take notes on your citations in Zotero
- Write a literature review that synthesizes the articles and your own perspective; not a summary of articles, one by one. To help, search by tag in Zotero and paste your notes corresponding to the various sections of your paper in a Google doc.
