Wikipedia
Wikipedia is helpful for getting started on a topic and especially for finding leads to other major publications. Keep in mind that Wikipedia is written collaboratively by the readers of the website. It is not generally considered a scholarly source and many professors will not accept it as a cited source.

Google Scholar
Google Scholar will have a lot of overlap with Tripod Books and Articles searches. It has less ability to filter out lower quality results and to execute complicated searches, but is still very useful for finding the greatest number of sources available.
